Corporate Training Manager
Part of the worlds-biggest-software-project initiative.
An AI-native, open-source learning management system for training assignments, compliance tracking, and completion reporting.
Corporate Training Manager is a Learning Management System aimed at organisations that need to assign training, track compliance, and report on completion across their workforce. It targets HR, L&D, and compliance teams in regulated industries — financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy — as well as multi-site operators standardising onboarding. The project addresses the high cost, dated UX, and shallow AI capabilities that characterise today's incumbent LMS platforms.
Why Corporate Training Manager?
- Enterprise LMS platforms (Cornerstone OnDemand, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday Learning) typically run $8–12/user/month and require 6–12 month implementations, putting them out of reach for SMB and mid-market organisations.
- Existing AI features across Docebo, Cornerstone, and Absorb are largely limited to recommendations and tagging; generative content authoring and regulatory-aware updates are nascent or absent.
- Compliance content libraries cost a further $15k–100k per year on top of LMS licensing, and third-party content is licensed rather than owned, locking buyers in.
- Moodle, the dominant open-source option, is GPL-3.0 with copyleft implications for SaaS providers and requires significant IT effort to host, customise, and bolt compliance automation onto.
- No incumbent fully solves auto-updating compliance content when regulations change, conversational audit queries, or predictive compliance risk scoring — leaving clear AI-native opportunities open.

- Predictive compliance risk scoring per team and individual
- Generative roleplay simulations for soft-skills training
- Peer-authored content workflows with inline learner feedback loops
AI-Native Advantage
Unlike incumbents whose AI is largely recommendation- and tagging-based, Corporate Training Manager treats AI as core infrastructure. Regulatory text ingestion automatically drafts or updates compliance modules when source regulations change, eliminating manual authoring cycles. An LLM-powered audit assistant answers natural-language questions like "which employees in the London office are overdue for anti-bribery training?" and produces audit-ready exports on demand. Personalised learning paths are derived from skills gap analysis, and generative roleplay scenarios provide adaptive soft-skills practice that today requires live trainers or expensive video production.
Tech Stack & Deployment
The project is designed for self-hosted and managed-cloud deployment, with EU and US data residency options to meet GDPR and CCPA obligations. It targets the established e-learning standards stack — SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI, cmi5, AICC, and LTI 1.3 — so existing third-party content and tooling work without re-authoring. Integration is API-first via REST, with native HRIS connectors (Workday, BambooHR, SAP SuccessFactors), SSO via SAML 2.0 and OIDC, and an embedded xAPI Learning Record Store.
Market Context
The global LMS market was valued at roughly $28.6 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $123.8 billion by 2033 (CAGR ~20%), with the compliance training sub-segment alone at $5.6 billion. Incumbent pricing ranges from $5/user/month for SMB tools like TalentLMS to $96k–144k/year for enterprise HCM-integrated LMS deployments at 1,000 users, plus $15k–100k/year for compliance content libraries. Primary buyers are CHROs, L&D directors, Chief Compliance Officers, and operations managers in regulated and multi-site industries.
