Event Management Platform
Part of the worlds-biggest-software-project initiative.
An AI-native, open-source event management platform for registration, agenda, sponsors, and virtual/hybrid streaming.
The Event Management Platform is a candidate open-source alternative to enterprise event suites such as Cvent, Bizzabo, and RingCentral Events. It targets corporate event teams, conference organisers, and marketing operations groups who need unified registration, attendee engagement, and hybrid streaming without the opacity and cost of incumbent enterprise contracts.
Why Event Management Platform?
- Enterprise incumbents (Cvent, Bizzabo, Stova, SpotMe, EventsAir) sell only via custom enterprise pricing — typically starting around $5,000/yr and scaling into six figures — with no transparent pricing for buyers.
- Cvent's UI is widely reported as complex with a steep learning curve, and Stova is still consolidating three legacy platforms (Aventri, MeetingPlay, Eventcore) following its 2022 rebrand.
- Eventbrite covers consumer ticketing well but lacks event management depth: no registration forms beyond ticketing, no conference app, no virtual/hybrid platform, and limited CRM integration.
- AI capability is uneven: only Bizzabo (agentic AI, June 2025), RingCentral (AI Writer, Caption Translation), and Accelevents (AI matchmaking) ship meaningful AI features, and these are early and proprietary.
- Hybrid streaming and CRM integrations command 25–40% pricing premiums on top of already-opaque enterprise contracts, leaving mid-market organisers underserved.

AI-Native Advantage
AI is treated as a first-class capability rather than a bolt-on add-on. The platform targets AI-driven attendee-to-session matching and personalised agenda generation, automated sponsor and exhibitor matchmaking from job titles and stated interests, real-time sentiment and engagement scoring across chat, polling, and attendance signals, and predictive no-show modelling for tighter capacity planning. Post-event, transcripts are repurposed automatically into highlights, session summaries, and follow-up email drafts — addressing a labour cost that no incumbent fully solves today.
Tech Stack & Deployment
The platform is designed for self-hosted and cloud deployment, building on open standards already established in the event domain: iCalendar (RFC 5545) for calendar interchange, RTMP / HLS and WebRTC for streaming and real-time video, PCI DSS for payment handling, GDPR / CCPA for attendee data governance, SCORM / xAPI for events delivering CPD or educational content, and Open API / REST for CRM, marketing automation, and venue AV integrations.
Market Context
The event management software market is multi-billion and compounding: one widely cited estimate puts it at $7.2B in 2025 growing to $14.7B by 2034 (7.9% CAGR), while a broader definition reaches $18.3B in 2025 growing to $66B by 2033 (17.4% CAGR) [IMARC Group 2025; OpenPR 2025]. Enterprise platforms charge $5,000 to six-figure annual contracts and command 25–40% premiums for hybrid streaming and CRM integrations. Primary buyers are corporate event planners, association and conference organisers, marketing operations teams, IT/AV managers at large venues, and agency event producers.
